Lace Fern

Grow stunning lace fern at home!

Lace fern is an elegant decorative plant that grows especially well in hot climates zones. Also known as the common asparagus fern, the leaves of lace fern are actually tiny leaf-like cladodes, which arise in clumps of up to 15 from the stem, making a fine, soft green fern-like foliage. Lace fern grows well in normal room temperatures. A beautiful addition to any home or office.

  • Lace Fern is not actually a fern, it is ornamental asparagus. Later, you can replant it in a larger pot and you’ll have a houseplant for decades that you have grown from seeds all by yourself.
  • Lace fern naturally needs a lot of time to sprout. Normally the first sprout appears after a month but this can be sped up if the temperature is raised to 25 – 30 C.
  • Waiting for Lace Fern to sprout teaches a thing or two about patience. It will be worth it, as it does not require much care and lasts in an indoor garden for five months easily.
